Bath Time Baby Shower Gifts

Can you think of any more normal combination than baths and babies? Sometimes it seems as though they spend half of their life in the bath. For the first three months it's a sponge bath followed by a short tub for the remainder of the year and then a regular tub for the next five years. So, how about making life easy for Mom and the baby by giving them all the bath time bits and pieces they are going to need as specialty baby gift baskets.
Get out on a cold morning and you will quickly discover that a bathrobe is probably the first requirement. Keep those little ones both warm and comfortable with a bathrobe made out of the finest terrycloth and make Mom and baby happy by buying one with a design which brings two smiles at once.
Better still, give the little ones a preview of what is to come later in life with a spa baby bath set. Tiny slippers in blue, pink or white which are simply to die for and washcloths that are as soft as they use in Baden Baden when the big girls go for a break. However, remember that baby has a long way to go first and so also purchase that wonderful toy frog which matches the design on the slippers.
Speaking of amphibians, how about that four-piece turtle hat box set? A pretty pink hat box that is wrapped in a white silk bow provides the ideal container. Inside you have slippers embossed with those cute little hard-shelled green creatures all nestling alongside a terry washcloth, a hooded towel and a host of other goodies.
For the tub you have loads of choices.
Bath soap is a must of course. But why not transform that practical necessity into a real pleasure? Ducky baby soap is one solution. Festooned with baby ducks and smelling of English herbs, the container itself will be a wonderful keepsake. The soap is naturally made specially for a baby's delicate skin and will leave baby with the scent of a garden.
Another fun and safe option is the beach ball bath set. Manufactured from soft terry, it is paired with a hooded towel and washcloth which provide the perfect combination of play and hygiene. All cotton, the items are warm, comfortable and very absorbent.
However, before the baby can get out to dry off you will certainly want to be sure to keep them amused in the tub. One sure way to achieve this is with a puppy puppet. And, as soon as baby is ready to come out, the matching puppy hooded towel is ready for the job. Hilarious, sturdy and soft, it will tackle its job with style and fun.
And how about making drying off a warm and easy breeze with a colorful 3-piece terry set. Manufactured from especially soft velour cotton and decorated with a baseball motif, the hooded towel is only the start. A matching infant robe and a full-sized bib with Velcro latches makes the set luxurious, decorative and practical.
Finally let the baby rest and revel in his or her post-bath time with a swish play bucket that is full of fun plush turtles or crabs and relish the moment as those two little eyes light up with excitement. As a baby shower gift there can be no doubt that baby bath time gifts will be more than appreciated.
Bath time makes a super theme for any baby shower but these are just a few of the many marvelous baby shower ideas that make this such a fun event these days.
